Help needed in Antwerp please

Hi all, we're almost at the point of having our Trader47 shipped back to the UK...we'll not quite. Closest we can get in October is Antwerp, just a short hop across the north sea to Essex.

Do we have any forumites in Antwerp or close by?

There's a couple of things I need help with

1) once our boat is back in the water after being shipped to Antwerp, we're going to need somewhere to moor for a short period in Antwerp

2) I was thinking of trying to find someone in Antwerp that could bring our boat over to Essex Marina when there's a good weather window

As always, and help really appreciated

Just a thought. Can't you get delivery to Neuwpoort? Nice handy marina and saves the Schelt trip. Plenty of berths there and short run to Wallasea. Thats assuming she is been shipped by road to Belgium.

Shipping is piggybacking from Nice to Antwerp. We're too tall to go by road unfortunately.

Shipping is piggybacking from Nice to Antwerp. We're too tall to go by road unfortunately.

Have you tried contacting Jachthaven Antwerpen? It is at the city end of dock complex.

I live near Antwerp. PM me if you need information or help. Jachthaven Linkeroever is also an option but single lockgate so short window of access. You could take it up the river to Breskens ready for the crossing. Might as wel use a UK crew as whoever does the crossing will need to make a return trip. Novanta on this forum can probably help you with a local skipper if needed.
