Help me spend my money

I have just re-discovered a deposit account I had kind of forgotten I had. It is paying a massive 0.1% interest rate. I though I should move the money to a better account but then I thought no, sod it, lets spend the money. It is kind of a windfall, bonus money so I thought I should spend it on something kind of frivolous and unnecessary for the boat.

Trouble is I can't think what to buy. So come on, help me out. I have about £2,500 to spend on some kind of luxury for my SC38. What should I get?

leave it alone, you're just tempting fate, if you blow it on an extravagance, sods law says something else will go wrong and you'll have to find the money elsewhere.

Ask SWMBO she'll know what to buy, but it may not have anything to do with boats.


FWIW, I am retired & I saved up a small sum in a current account in the last few years of work. It is very good to be able to put my hand on a card & say, "Don't worry, I'll pay this one" or buy a toy I fancy, or get the car fixed without worrying where the money is coming from. 2.5k won't last all that long, but it is very pleasant while it does.

You could have one engine and drive serviced by you Volvo Penta main dealer and ask him if he would kindly throw in the modified sea water filter cap free of charge

You are quite right. The mrs has her eye on re-decorating the hall, stairs and landing. B*gger that!

So....... These 50 inch tellys........ Plasma or LCD, what do you think!?

Go for the latest 3D HD 52" LED TV with all the knobs and sockets on, WIFI ready so you can stream your favourite err... movies straight on it. Throw in a PS3 and some games. Get full surround sound. £2.5k should cover that nicely!!
