I think it has the look of a Robert Tucker design, but not one I'm familiar with. Maybe a one off or perhaps a plug for one of the GRP models, maybe Ballerina?
The description says it's hard chine but photos don't seem to agree.
Is it definitely wood ?

The hull reminds me of the debutante (I owned one many years ago) but they had a flush deck. Maybe someone added a raised cabin top to increase headroom. It does look round bilge in photos but if plywood then almost certainly chine.

The prop shaft appears to exit on the port quarter - very odd.

I've had a look through Robert Tucker designs and none seem to match.

The more I study the hull shape and keels/skeg the more convinced I am that it is a modified Debutante - but I'm often proven wrong !

run ! That has rampant water ingression,a nd has been robbed of any useful kit. Pit, bottomless, money.

Looks a bit like an Avenger, designed by Uffa Fox and built at C E Clarkes yard at Cowes in the 60s, cold moulded ply, except they were I think 27feet. Cant find a pic of one yet, but if i do i will post it.

I think the hull must be cold moulded, it would be virtually impossible to get that shape from ordinary ply construction - and may be extremely difficult to repair while retaining form strength. IIRC cold moulding used multiple thins sheets of ply which could follow the curves of the hull form, then glued together in a vacuum bag, using atmopspheric pressure to apply even pressure. Very light strong hulls, but extremely difficult to repair.

Definitely not a Debutante: they had a reverse sheer, and hard chines. Also 21 ft long so much smaller. There was a 25 foot version, the Allegro, which had a coach roof, but nothing like this.

Hi,
As someone on my other thread has pointed out to me, this is not a Pintail yacht!
She is of marine ply, about 24 ft, has 5'8 to 5'10 (ish) head room.
Tri keel, and had a fitted inboard engine.

Can anyone shed any light on her for me?
Thanks

I dont want to spend too much on her if she wont be worth it.
Thanks

I think it is a Robert Tucker design. Has the characteristic Caprice transom.

Very like this Unicorn 24 I saw for sale the other day. It has the same narrow dog house with the coachroof extending much wider and nearer the sides. And look at the doghouse windows!
