Help in Falmouth

Hello, is there anyone from Falmouth around?

SWMBO and I recently arrived in Falmouth Marina for the winter, after spending the summer sailing down from Scotland.

We would be very interested in any tips for local sailing whilst we're here, where to go, good moorings in local rivers where we could stay afloat with a 2.1m draft, cosy pubs etc.

Go to the Chainlocker pub and ask for Annette Martin (my sister in law) then you will have the benefit of all 5 ofmy brothers-in-law. They be born and brought up in Falmouth and know every pub in that part of Cornwall intimately.

They will also introduce you to many of the local yachtsmen.

My cousin keeps a Swan 38 up by King Harry Ferry - there is certainly plenty of water up there and 'tis very sheltered for when the wind is too much for the bay to be pleasant /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
