Help - Formica wanted

I've posted this on wanted but nothing so far - so I thought I'd try you lot

I've spent most of this afternoon on the phone (inc Formica themselves) & Google. That follows a fallow hour at Ipswich Plastics Trade counter - but they're not interested in selling offcuts nowadays & only wanted to sell me a whole sheet @ £83 + VAT .

The fat, smug git at the counter seemed unable / unwilling to suggest a name of a fabricator / laminator who I could approach for an offcut. Maybe I'm being unkind & he didn't know of anyone - but I doubt it somehow .

I'm hoping there is someone in the "know" on the forum who might know of a possible source for offcuts (or might even have one!).

I'm looking for a piece of Formica 700mm x 450mm (or thereabouts) - laminate only

either F6389 "Green Spa"
or
F6394 "Emerald Mistral"

I asked the people who are renovating our kitchen but all I got was that the worktops are ordered via their trade supplier. I tried another worktop outlet in Norwich & got a similar answer.

The material I'm after is from from Formica's Washroom range (it's for the heads) so the kitchen top patterns are not quite what I want anyway.

I thought I'd be able to get offcuts on Ebay but there's absolutely nothing - plenty of laminated chipboard worktops though.

If I can't get anywhere with this soon I'm half thinking of buying a full sheet (not from Ipswich Plastics) - cutting off what I need - and putting the remains on Ebay.

I've had bits from bennets of bedford, you'd have to turn up though as I very much doubt they'd deliver an offcut.

I can only seem to find Bennetts Flooring in Bedford. Is that the one? Do you have a contact number if it's a different one.

No it's not the flooring place, i've just seen the address for them and pretty sure it's not woburn rd ind. est. I'll have to ask the Mrs. as she normally pops over there when needed.
