OG is still desperate to squander some folding on a boat without that delightful 20% Brexit tax penalty ie. got be a UK boat.
Due to severe lack of Princess boats within my price range might have to take one for the team and consider a Fairline of some sort. :)
What is the actual differences between the
Phantom 38
Phantom 40
Phantom 42.
Build start and finish dates, actual LOA, No. of bogs , engines with the iffy ECUs etc, do they all have that "Fast Fade" blue(ish) hull ?
As long term Princess owner one has the handy Princess Model History | Princess Motor Yacht Sales as a guide .
All comments welcome.

All volvo 63p
All 2 bogs
All blue an option
Just given away book with model history sorry

Cos you cannot see B******* all of the boat out the front ............... mebbe except the anchor, from the command bridge , even when you are 6 2" and standing up ,as for the letterbox view looking astern when the marquee is erected.

.........and and and who ever designed those stairs from the saloon to the command bridge should be taken out and ???? even mountain goats would think twice about tackling them even when in a marina let alone underway.
Bin to one up at the Midlands at a very optimistic price, curiously its been up for sale for quite a while.
See you soon ? :)

I think OG's views on the unique design of the Broom are pretty well known.... :)

Having owned a couple of Broom’s I would say that they take some beating in terms of getting the most bang for your buck on accommodation and build quality. Some models are obviously better than others and there are compromises of course but they offer a lot compared to the ubiquitous flybridge. But then I also think Sealines offer a lot and having owned one of those I would say that whilst the build quality might not be the same as Broom or Princess they have built some fine boats. We loved ours despite it having a tent and outdrives, both of which are anathema to OG! ?

Why are you fixated with this?
If you can get the boat you want at a price that suits who cares whether that price includes paying a tax, or transport cost or indeed any other costs. The only thing that matters is the overall cost of getting the boat to where you want to use it.
Many boats are on offer in the EU at asking prices substantially lower than in the UK even paying all costs of getting them to the UK. For example my boat is for sale at the same asking price as the last 2 that have sold in the UK. There are 2 similar boats on offer in Germany at asking prices that even paying VAT and a generous £5k for transport and handling will end up over £5k cheaper. Both have been for sale for some time and could well be bought at below asking price.

Suggest you open your eyes and widen your horizons a bit and deal with the world as it is. Not saying it is easy to buy in the EU but at least consider it.

Agree 100%.
Bit difficult to get to Nice or Croatia at the mo though.
Why on earth would any nation deliberately add expence, complexity and obstruction plus restrict choice in what once was a very simple and straight forward transaction.
Did I mention that BREXIT has added 20% to any import or export of boat from EU :)

Not sure why you keep banging on about this. The vote was simple - leave the EU or stay in. This is just one of the many consequences that came out of that vote and like all "details" is just a matter of government policy When negotiating the terms there was no option to vote on all the individual consequences just like any other election - you vote for the principles and the government handles the details. In the whole scheme of things this "consequence" is of little importance and we as individuals have no influence - we just as I suggested deal with the fact as it affects us.

"consequence" is of little importance

£20.000 is quite a important sizable sum for one or two individuals, although of little importance and perhaps merely collateral damage for some , the consquences will be felt for some time to come.
Might mention it again :)
