A while ago I came across the website of a company making whizzbang
woodworking powertools that used the same principles as the plastercast
cutters they use in hospitals; Can I find it now? Can I buggery......
Does this ring a bell with anyone, or was it just a fevered dream?

cheers,
David

Not ultrasonic, backwards and forwards action, wonderful tool, very safe and can even be used for removing caulking in deck seams and plank seams, great tool, every shipwright/wooden boat owner should have one, I have. Rotozip another great tool (big dremel)

Get thee behind me...!

Hand tools good!
Power tools bad!

(except for the four sanders, two drills and a hot air gun that I already own, of course!)

Yes I've used one of these [borrowed, can't afford them personally] and they are just wonderful. The little rectangular blades will permit cuts where no other saw can go. On the other side of the coin the cost here in Oz is exhorbitant; the blades alone cost about $70 each. [We spend dollars at the same rate as you in Britain spend pounds]. I will have to continue to be nice to that guy who has one!
Peter.
