... it appears this sender has failed in a 2006 Bavaria 33 belonging to my Uncle. Failure mode is constantly reading 'Full' on both guages (one by the engine controls and one at the main switch panel.)
Boat is new to him but has been unused for a couple of years.

Any help sourcing a sender either online or in the north of England (Lancaster area) or any advice on how to fault find would be very gratefully received.

Looking at the prices $200+ I would be looking at eBay where you can buy them for around $50. You'd have to be careful to get one with the right ohms and configuration. (One with a float on the end of an arm would be ideal).
Maybe a sight glass fuel gauge is the way to go?

I had the same problem with my Jenneau when I bought it. The issue was the sender inside the fuel tank. I removed it and gently abraded the rheostat wires before reassembling. It's worked fine for 4 years now.

If it's in a modern Bavaria it will be a quite thin-walled plastic tank. I'd do anything to avoid a tank hole in the sides: it's bad enough trying to totally diesel-seal new access or inlet-outlet holes in the top. You'd think it would be easy: it's not.
