Not sure if this is the right section of the website to post this, apologies since I am new.

Was out on my boat today, relatively new only had it for a few weeks & taken it out a handful of times due to bad weather.
Was performing a manoeuvre today, engine cut off (I suspect this may have something to do with the locking mechanism anyways) so I reignite- and nothing.

I try and try again, jimmy with the lock a little and the lock cylinder fell right out into my hand.
I’ve attached a few photos here, so can anyone who has experienced this before or has a good idea on what happened offer some help? Do I ring the company who sold it to me or is this a problem that can be solved with a locksmith?

Thanks.

If you look at around two o clock on your 2nd pic you will see the plastic lip that retains the lock cylinder is broken, allowing it to pop out so I would think a replacement is due.
You could probably operate that switch with a screwdriver now.

You don't say what boat but you may be able to get replacement from the builders. Free under warranty if you can argue that it was faulty.

Otherwise see if Furneaux Riddall have the correct type. Handy if you are in the Solent area
