Still going south currently in Corsica for winter
www.fairhead.com
Getting back on the water soon I hope..... subject to survey, but now I can't find a suitable mooring.
Going to spend all the spare dosh on the yacht so...
I need a cheap buoy to tie up to in a sheltered harbour, so I can use boat all year.

Anywhere from say Weymouth to Plymouth
I don't want to be on land anymore

Any ideas pleaseeeeeee

Try Calstock Boatyard on the Tamar - it's a long way from the sea but VERY sheltered.

Cargreen Yacht Club also has free moorings on the Tamar - between Calstock and Saltash - about seven miles from the sea. If you are interested send me an email though this board.

I must remember to UNFOLD the chart before use !.....But Pooles a nice place, close enough to Weymouth but far enough from the Solent and he sounded desperate.

Thinking 'outside the box' (hate that expression!), the latest Gaelforce catalogue has a complete DIY mooring kit in it, which comes fully assembled/spliced etc and is delivered on a pallet - presumably in this context DIY stands for 'Drop-It-Yourself'!

But it got me thinking about options for finding a suitable place and being able to drop your own mooring with all the right permission etc. I have no idea how feasible this is, but I expect it is more feasible in the areas you mentioned than here in the Solent.

Just an alternative thought, as you sounded desperate!
