Helm Seat

Looking for a new helm seat for the bridge on my T36. The exisitng one is literaly a pain in the ass!
Could any one recommend a comfortable (high back) seat please?

That looks great Farsco and just the colour combo want.
Is it mounted on a box?

Yup.....i got into to fit the original seat runners too so it slid back and forth

BTW...on the AGBaltic website...they call it artificial leather....I called them to check and they confirmed it is marine grade vinyl.

the bottom front parts hinge up too for when helming stood up

I’ve lost count of the stuff I’ve bought...then found cheaper later!

I spoke to an upholsterer at the time asking how they can do it so cheap. He explained upholstery and furniture making is big business is Lithuania. Lots of people train in it so the too many skilled workers.

I couldn’t fault the seat for the money

Sorry to jump in on this, but just to say, many thanks Farsco! I can't tell you how long I've spent searching the internet and pondering over replacement seats for our T36.
Order placed!

We replaced our Princess ones about 5 years ago.
Found these people at Boot in Dusseldorf
They seem to have lots more to choose from now - see their website here

These were the old Princess seats



The vinyl had developed a nasty mould that couldn't be cleaned and the fabric was beginning to break down.

So we replaced them with (I think) a couple of these:-
Bootssitz
The website is in German so use Google Translate - works well on that site.

This is what they look like when fitted



At the same time, I removed the seat sliding mechanism which permanently fixed the seats to the boat.
And replaced it with 4 studs with wing nuts on each seat so it is very easy to take the seats off.
I then remove the seats during the winter months and store them in the cockpit.
Only put them on the flybridge when we are on the boat in summer.
The result is that they are still in mint condition.

Anyway, the above website might give you some ideas.
I seem to remember that my seats were cheaper when we bought them so maybe they will be up for a discount.
