bugger, first time trying to upload pics bare with me soz

Photos are fine, well done.

I do like the Fairline Corniche, certainly a flybridge I'd have.

But I can't understand why you didn't like the SS, it looks great on the back of that lorry.

Hope you enjoy the new boat, she looks great.

Cheers

Al.

Guess its the canopies and the UK weather that put me off in the end.....

SS=great boat and superb build, however pokey cabin and zips n poppers started doing my brain in!

Boats to me and SWMBO are 50/50 floating caravan and fishing platform and a FB just ticks the more boxes.

Not sorry we tried a sports cruiser cos now I know my preference...

Rob

mmmm Corniche - tasty boat.

Incidentially, a buddy of mine was slagging me lately re canopies saying that I have them too so can't see the advantage of FB etc etc - he has Gobbi SC.

We decided to time the deployment of canopies on both boats - Phantom 50 = 2mins 10s Gobbi = 12 mins 25s and still not quiet right /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Phantom 50........?

Hey SV you could use mine as your tender! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Thanks for the sentiment though guys....

We are delighted with it and I guess that's all that matters hey?

Cheers
Rob

Just binned a boat with ovals! to be honest that was main reason for the change I mean .......oval just so everyday don't you think? /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Well done Rob, you seem to have found two completely different boats that both have a good rep and a supportive following.

I made the change to F/b and back and so did 'Jimmy the Builder', I'm sure you will enjoy the Corniche but I'll be interested to hear what you think next year. There's no right answer, it's purely personal preference. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Both have advantages, but the covers are a bit of a red herring if you also have a tonneau for the bridge deck. The SS had a forward facing arch which makes the covers more of a struggle and it's harder to use when only partly open.

I hope you enjoy the new boat though and many safe trips. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I manage about 3 mins, but I only take the aft and front part, no need for the upper part or else it is surely about 10 mins, and after 10 mins will need to put it back as it will be too hot here....
yes my next one might be hardtop or it might depends what my mood is....

Hi RR,

For clarity on my boating history........

Sub 20ft fast fishers until 2004, then upgraded to a Bayliner 2556 FB changed that for a 2858 FB which we changed to buy the SS........!

So for me its FB FB SC FB and unless I move to warmer climes I cannot see a return!

Horses for courses I guess.....!

Anyway fish guts all over the SS was a big NO NO!!!

PS interesting point you make though ref yourself and JTB not sure which FB you had but I followed JTB's change via the forum and thought that his last FB was stunning!

Hang on a mo!
Had a couple on ice waiting for you the other week..... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Serious though, should be round in July weather permitting /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
