Hella marine 2984 Nav lights

Anyone know of how to open these Port/Starboard Nav lights to check the bulb and contacts.
Afraid of forcing them apart incase of damage.
Nothing found on google etc of how to dismantle them or change the bulb

Do the pictures here give any clues. ( one of their features is that they can be opened without tools

Had these on my last boat. From memory there’s a large square button in the underside. You push this in (it’s part of the backplate) and then pull the bottom of the cover away from the backplate.

the image below shows it upside down, but you can see what I mean.

Post no. 2 and more are correct.
(Check no one has sealed around the edges) with silicone etc

If it is aged when you have opened it you may find yourself with a festoon bulb with bits soldered on to it. These are not cheap.
