Hella Anchor Light Bulb Replacement

I thought you were on board all this week?

Nah, just 4 nights. Some of us still* have (proper) jobs that require regular attendance!

Despite that, I'm planning to be onboard in May, June, September and October. Will probably squeeze another one in at the height of the summer if we can avoid the heat / kids / mozzies / Jez ;).

* Looking decidedly dodgy though!

Well, four months on board over the summer season isn't too shabby, beats my paltry 70-80 nights a year easily :encouragement:

Sounds like we need a side conversation about work! Time for a beer with the usual suspects?

Thanks, not heard of that. I wonder how it compares to Vaseline?

Sorry guys to prolong the agony of thread ,just getting back on topic for a mo ——

Tnx Pinnacle for the suggestion but it seems “out of stock “after a quick google .
Hence PeteM,s Q seems valid .
Makes sense to Dia electrolytically grease the light bulb contacts - any other suggestions?

I think its available here;

https://boatlamps.co.uk/products/contralube-770-range. You only need a very small amount on the contacts, so even this small tube should last a while.

If you would like me to get you a tube, ( and then post to you) just let me know. :encouragement:

EDIT: Must type faster!

Looks like Contralube comes on sachets which is less helpful. Nyogel is in tunes though.

Agreed.

Porto, the offer still stands.

That’s very kind Pinnacle and I think applause is necessary for such a gesture.
Makes a pleasant change from the increasingly combative/ abusive posts we seem to be getting on this forum :disgust::disgust:
I,ve managed to order some on line from the link you and PeteM posted .
Tnx both you :encouragement: and prv .

Thanks and you are very welcome.

I have to say that, with one notable exception, everybody on YBW that I have met in person, has been a delight. (And no, I am not going to divulge the identity of the exception! :disgust: )

Porto, instead of using emery paper, perhaps you could try one of these?
