A helicopter has come down in the sea shortly after takeoff Bergen. Believed 3 persons on board, 2 rescued. No further details.

on Norwegian TV news, private chopper with 3 persons on board crashed just north of Bergen, 2 persons rescued.

I didn't see the news bit, but my brother in law was in charge of the divers from the Bergen Fire Brigade and was apparently interviewed. They managed to pull out 2 survivors but a 3rd wasn't so lucky.

He's had a busy year, including rescuing 3 Filipinos from an upturned ship back in February.

He's my real-life hero, Frank. Smashing bloke.

remember the bit about the ship, hit an uncharted rock in Bergen. Strange that no-one knew it was there. Vessel was a rock carrier on it's first voyage under new ownership with a new captain, I believe.
