The Tidemill Yacht Harbour have always had hour-by-hour predictions the the sill. The folks there would happily give out information in response to a call over the radio or by phone and of course you could look for youself if you stopped by the office.

However the height predictions were not in a form that were easy to distribute widely or in full.

They have now put this year's predictions up on their web site - for three hours either side of high water, for every day. Go to http://www.tidemillyachtharbour.co.uk and follow the link under the picture on the home page.

Or you can do what I did. My boat with 5 feet draft followed a steel long keeler out with a draft of 5'6". He had rocked on the sill for about 5 minutes before going over. So I went at a moderate pace assuming there must now be more than my draft above the sill. I say I kissed the sill - other people watching say I hit it. Anyway it took the weed off the bottom off the keel where I can't antifoul as it sits on the hard.
