Heaven

Surprisingly peaceful here so far. Only 4 at anchor but there is an almost endless procession of boats heading out to enjoy the weather. Poor old wage slaves I suppose.
Think I'll head off at around 13.00, then again I might not, might go up the Deben or maybe back up the Orwell. Jeez I'm enjoying retirement. :)

enjoying retirement too - we'll be sailing tomorrow after lying in bed hearing the London train hoot at 7.40 as it leaves Burnham carrying those poor devils still working

Got back to the Orwell at around 16.30. It was manic, everyone heading back to their moorings / pontoons, then at 18.00 peace prevailed. Just had fish pie and a cheeky little white watching the sun set, bliss. Now tomorrow ----- ??

It's been a horrible weekend up here in Norfolk.

I'm pretty nearly certain that I saw a cloud this morning which quite ruined my day. The waves are a frightening 10mm at least.

The beer is awful... ly good so I've drunk far too much of it. The locals must be planning to rob, rape or roast us cos they're being far too friendly

There's been no peace at all what with all the live music and Rik reckons the interminable sunshine has given him a headache

It's so unbearably nice here that we're desperately keen to get out of the place on the morning tide (if I don't leave soon I could stay here forever)
