We went out on Sunday with a few freinds, so there was 6 people on board, full fuel and full water i.e Boat twas heavy!!. Anyway, this caused the Eberspacher heating exhaust to be underwater when underway. When we turned it on at Gunwharf we smoked the whole place out!! With the Smoke and Steam coming out of the exhaust, it was also belching out large amounts of water.
But it works and it settles down after a few minutes running.
Question: Is this doing it any harm? and is there a way to avoid it?

sit everybody on the bow that will keep exaust out of the water. But it would eventuallu flood the unit etc. The skin fitting must be very low down to be doing this in any case and may eventually cause the exaust to rust.

I've spoken to the guys at Transport Maintenance and they are going to look into it for me. They did wonder why the exhaust was mounted so low as to let water in but there Fairline guy wasn't there so is going to call me tomorrow with his view.

P.S. Has Gunn Wharf put their prices up for summer yet?
