Hi my last boat was a Itchen Ferry 22' And we used very successfully a Tilley lamp, I found a baked beans tin one of the extra large ones and opened it top and bottom to make a tube, I painted the outside of the tin with black stove paint and installed it inside of the glass, we used to keep the hatch ajar to let the fumes out, although a little noisy they do give out quite a bit of heat and are adjustable from full to low. It would be quite a neat heater if you were to build a flue for it.
I recently saw a Primus burner in a camping shop and this can run on any fuel (gas parrafin or diesel) our present heater is a parrafin Taylors that uses the exact same burner as the Taylors cooker so I wonder if the Primus burner could be used and could you use diesel?
