Feel sorry for all the people here. I have friends who live to the west of Orlando. Not to sure what damage they have suffered. I know they are ok though as about a 1000 miles plus away in their RV.

Ouch! It may be repairable, but I doubt it's economically repairable except as a project for the next YT superstar.
Memories of similar pics after the storm in La Rochelle, where the surge picked boats up and dropped them on the piles. Still, better lose a boat than a life.

Does insurance pay up in these sort of circumstances? My wife is of the opinion that they would wriggle out, claiming it was "an Act of God", and not covered.
I hope the many irreplaceable heritage aircraft based in Florida were evacuated or suitably protected.

The reality is that the pictures we see of yachts in Florida are the tip of the iceberg.

The person who sold me my boat bought a couple of Sun Legendes after the Oct 87 hurricane in Brittany. The boats had been written off by the insurance company.
His point was " I'll just whip out the furniture, fix the holes - it's really like plasticine - put the furniture back in and in one month I'll be chartering them out."
He did.
