OK, after six weeks in the London Clinic, they have repaired half of the problem with pushing it to the limit of what can be done endoscopy, the other half seems to be healing on its own, endoscopy is backup procedure if it doesn't, so finally some light at the end of the tunnel, now home on tpn at night & fluid diet to rest gut & allow healing.
Also, having decided to shelve boat upgrade for a while, Boats.co.uk came up with a deal on a boat I had been watching I couldn't refuse, more details later.
So lots of questions, 1st one being what is the smallest, lightest outboard dingy with console you can get, for two, occasionally 4 people.

Sounds like reasonable news so well done.

Look at highfield tenders, they have a console on an arm and aluminium hull, they use them on cats with underspecced davits, because they are light.

We are getting one in November - our previous Brigg 3.10 was terrific but really heavy.

Hi Rubberduck

Very good news. Pleased to hear you are on the mend.

Sorry, cant help re dingy.

Best Wishes

Fingers crossd you move forwards medically.

As for the dinghy. Is it essential that you have a centre console? I would have thought it increases the size / capacity ratio. We've used aluminium floor open dinghies for a long time now and find we can shuffle people round to fit 4 n a relatively small package.

They are also light to haul out.

Henry :)

Well done Rubberduck, hope you're on the mend.
If you do get a Highfield, make sue you get one with the extra aluminum floor, the stay dry I think it's called. I didn't and found the hull floor very slippery especially for dogs and I ended up making my own wooden floor

Well thats beginning to sound positive:D. Look forward to hearing about the new boat too
