Bad News

Its not been busy in the shop today and the new delivery arrived - new prices are effective as of 9am tomorrow. 60/40 Diesel £1.05 per lt. Petrol £1.58 per lt. Sorry :(

Diesel price

Why is still so much more expensive to fill up on the river compared to the coast?
I filled up at cowes last week at 89p a litre
And that was at one of the more expensive pumps

River users don't use a great deal of diesel, so turnover is not high. Coastal users have boats which will use vast amounts of fuel on several hour cruising runs per weekend, and many many more boats per fuel supply. So turnover is higher, and costs come down. If you want cheaper fuel, get the authorities to allow 30 or 40 knts as max speed, and encourage many more boats to your stretch of the river at those speeds.

I think you will find its lack of competition rather than lack of use. Fuel sales have never been a money earner on the Thames and have allways been more of an overall service to help the boatyard or Marina

Oh and while i am at it
If you are using a lot of heating oil use these guys
