This is a continuation of the, IMHO, tired formulaic type programmes from ITV where you get a fading celebrity to explore areas that they assume the public will be interested in. All a bit boring giving us nothing new. It's all been done before. I won't bother tuning in again.

Quite agree. Made worse by the arty farty approach of said celeb. There was a similar specimen going part way round the UK in a barge last year. Not a bad idea but spoiled by the gormlessness of the actor concerned

Tis funny cos Tim Spall and his wife I did enjoy. It's a good job we don't all like the same things. And I've got nothing against Ade Edmondson, it was just the content that left me cold. The same formula as Cornwall with Caroline Quentin and another coast type programme with iirc Ben Fogle based around Poole and no doubt one or two others I've forgotten about.

At least Tim Spall has a real interest in boats, I'm not sure the same applies to Mr Edmondson, has anyone come across him in their nautical travels?

I've no way of knowing but he is said, by Rik Mayal, to keep a "sailing yacht" on the Dart which is apparently near where he lives. I don't know any more than that though.

Believe he has a boat in Dartmouth .

A quick Google.
He may have been born in land-locked Bradford but Adrian Edmondson has always loved the sea.

“I fell in love with the sea about 30 years ago when I got my first boat,” says the comedian turned musician/TV presenter, who now lives in Devon with wife of 28 years, Jennifer Saunders.

Lots of comment for and against.

For those who thought he had little experience, look again at him at the wheel of the " Little Ship "-relaxed or what?

In command, under control, knew where he was going and what he needed to do when he got there.

That smacks of experience.

As Lakey said earlier-you can change to another channel at the touch of a button-then you would not be whinging on here.............................
