Hi Folks

About to replace my headlining material (Hawkehouse give a great service BTW) But as there are NUMEROUS panels to be cut I want to decide on cutting with a simple 2D nesting programme to minimise wastage.
I've loked at several but either they cost £'s or are just a trial programme and dont allow a printout or some other hitch.

Can anyone send me a link please?

Thanks:confused:

By the time you've found some software, mastered it, entered all the shapes you need and printed it out, you could have done it by cutting out some bits of paper, played around with those and got it all installed.

Yep thats what I would normally do, but I'm working in the Gulf at the moment and have all the measurements with me and the time to do it. The full size patterns are back onboard.

Just want to get a roll of material ordered for when I get back to the UK in the summer ready to do the job.

:nonchalance:

Haven't double checked but...... have a look at Autodesk. All of the autoCAD programmes are available to download as educational versions. No proof required, just verification that it is to be used by a student. There is no time limit to use of the product but any prints come out with a banner stating its licence status. AutoCAD is pretty much a standard for 2D CAD & has lots of web help etc - it does not take much learning to be able to draw/edit basic lines and circles etc
