My mate has a CI22, with droopy Headlining - foam backing has simply perished due to old age.

Replacement has been on his to do list for a long time - but his excuse is he can't seem to find somewhere that sells the foam backed vinyl he will need, in a small enough quantity........I thought he was just being lazy /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif but my Googles have not come up with anything either /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Any ideas who sells foam backed vinyl in boat sized quantity - over the internet?

Is this a trick?? seems far too simple /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Cheers, I have despatched details by E-mail to my mate.

BTW - I used to have a Corribee, for new headlining I used........new paint /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif (anything else was wayyyy too fiddly for me!)

[/ QUOTE ] No. I'll second Hawke house. Get all your adhesives from them as well. A high temp resistant contact adhesive, and an aerosol spray for the back of the material, for sticking directy onto GRP. A water resistant PVA wood glue for sticking on to ply panels.

Also get a hints and tips leaflet from them

AND for working inside the boat with a solvent based contact glue an "Organic vapours" mask. The solvent can be deadly in confined spaces.

I fitted carpet with a felt backing - well when I said that Idid it, I am being economical with the truth. I got a carpet fitter to fit it - darn good job he made of it as well

Yes---Hawkehouse.

And spend £25 on the glue gun they stock----clean & easy with not a dribble of the filthy stuff----Worth every penny.

You could also walk into any Dunelm store and have a browse.

I found some identical vinyl in there to that fitted on my boat. Cheap too, as there's no mention of the dreaded "M" word that trebles the price! Give it a try before you commit..

They sell it by the metre off the roll so you can have as much or as little as you want.

Cheers again folks - details passed on........WITHOUT any offer to help from yours truly /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif But time will tell if I get roped in!
