I am re-fitting a Nicholson 38 and will be doing the headlining next. Originally the headlining was fixed in place with a plastic strip that neatly clipped onto another plastic strip screwed to the roof. The lining material goes over the free plastic strip and pushes onto the fixed one, thus trapping the material in place.

Does anyone know where l can get this plastic strip as l don't see it advertised anywhere? In profile this stuff is about half an inch across, and looks like a flat u shape in profile.

do you mean plastic cladding? if so you can get it at B&Q wickes, but a cheaper option is your local upvc window frame guttering plastic place ........... the boat next to mine is fitted out with plastic cladding and looks really good, will do mine with it when the time comes.
