It might be that all the previous foam backing & glue wasnt removed & subsequently failing causing the droop ( just a thought)
with the spray glue, i would suggest that spray contact, is spray contact. what its labelled as, is irrelevant.

I think I'd be a bit upset over that sort of workmanship.
I'm wondering if they subbed it out to a local? Didn't want the OP around when the work was done.

This had something to do with why asked Michael when he had the work done. From my own experience, last summer I used spray contact adhesive bought in the UK when replacing a deckhead lining and it was useless in the heat out here.

They finished the works around 23rd November but we could not get to the boat before 28th November and were devastated by the appalling finish, insulation hanging down in engine compartment, Fridge, 14 unfilled holes in superstructure gelcoat, lighting circuits not working etc etc so I emailed them a few times and they returned a week or so later to put plastic padding in the holes and fix the other items. They spent two days doing this.
We drove down from Ronda and met with them to express our disappointment and dismay at the job. They said it was a totally satisfactory piece of workmanship and that the glue had been used for the last couple of years without problem and that compromises were necessary. I said I wanted a full refund for the appalling damage done to my boat by sticking vinyl on beautiful pieces of wood instead of tucking behind which involves more work. They said they would consider making some sort of refund and be in touch. Louise and I spent a couple of nights on board looking at the devastation wreaked by these amateurs.
That was over a week ago and yesterday morning having heard nothing for over a week I set up the pictures and story on my web site and later started this thread.
Bryan Spencer emailed this morning to complain I had not given them an opportunity to respond to my complaints.
I will keep you posted.

Exactly - our spray stuck foam all fell down as soon as we got to the Med! Luckily only a small amount.

I know this doesn't help you directly but when we finished off the deckhead of our boat in 1998, I didn't want vinyl headlining so I used a water resistant laminate. Has stood the test of time and still as good as new after nearly 16 + years. Hope you get some resolution soon.

No I did not make them aware of the 'post's' or of my web site, I am grateful to the Forum as I suspect 'folks' from here did make them aware and certainly one member cancelled his contract with them for next year.
They have behaved honorably and refunded. For my part I have removed all reference from my site... Horrid business that has turned out correctly and I am grateful for all the support I received.
