Anyone taken a dog down to the Scillies? Any problems with officialdom?

Thinking of heading down next week but want to be sure there aren't any zealous officials who will want to put her in quarrantine.

Yes, we took our Springer there in June. No problems at all.

Except the constant scattering of sand all over the boat! He got to know what the dinghy is for and jumped in as soon as it was launched. Liked to bring half the beach back with him and made us both very wet on the way back to the boat.

But no issues with officialdom except on Tresco. It's a private estate with wildlife roaming all over it so dogs must be kept on leads at all times unfortunately. Everywhere else great dog walks. Lovely walk around St Mary's shoreline and cliffs.

No problems re dogs and officialdom unless you come from abroad then its the same as mainland UK.

As already stated there are plenty of great dog walking opportunities, but don't forget your pooper scooper! !

Some beaches dogs are banned from going on from 1st May to sept 31, they are Porthmellon and Portcressa both on St Mary's it is Ok to land a dog on Little porth at western end of Portcressa if you are anchored out in that bay.

Enjoy your week and be sure to pop in the shop.
