Heading Downriver

This is true!

I have one for the water tank too, all nicely calibrated by a previous owner.

Minor inconvenience to use, but 100% accurate and reliable (unlike the Toilet tank LED gauge, which offers three positions, empty, high and full, none of which seem accurate)

In case of failure, I'll have to buy a new Bamboo... :D

What, no dipping stick for the toilet holding tank then? LOL!:D

Sigh, I think we've had quite enough toilet humour for one day...
>.<

Anywhere you can really just enjoy the day, more importantly make sure your crew does and that's not a hidden joke..

If they are not familiar with the river a bit of sight seeing always makes them appreciate it and you ant get any better than passing Windsor castle..enjoy

Ahh, what a wonderful weekend!
A few scary incidents in or near locks, including a sunken boat, a boat charging full speed into the lock wall and a pair of boats racing each other to Penton... though not fast enough to ever get in to an earlier lock!
Then to round the trip off, we moor up for lunch after a particularly heavy cloudburst and half fill up the kettle when a strange metallic noise starts to accompany the water pump. I leg it to the helm to turn off the power, in time for my girlfriend to ask, "Did I really spill that much water?"
Turns out the pipe pumping hot water to the tap had split big time, and the metallic noise was the boiling water showering down onto a load of tins underneath...
Oh, and to top it all off, we have a guy working on our windows, who has been taking his sweet time. Well, he's got round to taking the back window out, tarping the hole and starting work on the window now. About time, but really unhelpful when trying to manoevre a rather large boat, using only small cameras we set up on the back...
Ah, the joys of the river eh?
On the bright side, the river did eventually clear up, and at one point my girlfriend even said she enjoyed the trip! Looks like there's still a chance of me pressganging her into my crew :P
