Head by the head - a soundproofing query

If anyone thinks they can eliminate the sounds both human and mechanical in origin from a plywood box of a couple of cubic meters with a few cm of " sound insulation" they are in for a big surprise.

The slightest gap or hole in the sound insolation which will also include the door and where hoses pass through elsewhere, will still allow the noise to be heard in the sleeping quarters. The best sound insolation that I have found I mentioned in post 4.

Perhaps there are colours between black and white?

A noise is a noise when you are talking of interrupted sleep or just a dislike of hearing someones bodily functions, muffled a tad then may be but you will still hear them and get the gist of what's going on.

Our boat has a forward head, just aft of the master cabin. That means that I have a very precise track of nighly needs of guests we have overnight. As there are things that better stay private, I am planning some soundproofing of the bulkhead. Any experiences or ideas of what to use?
Sleep the other way up.
