Prompted by the current thread, but a different question.

There's a photo on the HYC website, of a traditional motor yacht, akin to a Silver, sitting on the slipway, viz:

She is very similar to a boat that my family used to own in the 1970's and I would be fascinated to know if she is still around. There are a few cosmetic differences (e.g. the bulwarks at the bows) but nothing that couldn't be attributable to Anno Domini and individual owners' preferences, so far as I can see. She looks to be a similar size.

So, for CHuggin et al: Have you seen this craft? If so, what's her name?

Our boat looked like this:

TIA

I've a strong feeling she was in Combes Boatyard at Bosham Hoe during the 80's and early 90's before they were forced to close. I'm sure that Nick Gates could confirm - PM me for his number if you wish

If not her, then very similar

Looks like a SilverLeaf to me, built by Silvers of Rosneath in the 30's. I maintain a similar one, called Jennifer Ann, which is moored at Chi Yacht basin. Theres a few pics on my site if you are interested....
The one at Combes was probably Vagabond, similar, but with a rather sexy canoe stern, and built by Souters, same era. We put a new deck on her, among other things. Also similar at Combes, but smaller, was my last boat Cynara. Also a 30,s boat, she is now in Penryn.

Are we talking about a boat called Bodilla? I did some work on her in the last few years and a freind of mine now owns her.
