Very sad news, never met Haydn but enjoyed his posts particularly the exploding bog post all those years ago. RIP Haydn.
his trials and tribulations with his Princess motor boat, affectionately (at least I think it was affectionately!) known as Mucky Farter. I'm not sure we ever learnt its real name.
I remember the first time I met Haydn, it was at one of tcm's legendary parties during the London boat show. probably getting on for 20 years ago, I spoke with him for an hour or so but only understood about 50% of what he said. But he was good fun.
It was called Meekatharra
Hearing of people that we never met passing away is something that happens on a daily basis.
And of course that's always sad news, whoever they are.
But for some of them, for some reason, my first thought is that I could and should have found a way to meet them, and sadly, such possibility is now lost forever.
RIP Haydn, I am sorry to have missed this opportunity.
