Do the inflatable tubes on the sides have any function or are they just styling? Given who designed the Hull you'd presume they did something but they don't appear to be touching the water.

Provide useful beam when healing over in a cornering manoeuvre.
Deflect spray in a chop and counter rolling .
Protect your SY and make pick up / drop offs less of a phaff .
Obviously in flat dead pan calm going straight they will be excess baggage ,but that’s 2% of conditions
In the other 98 % the narrow beam of the footprint will contribute at speed to the seakeeping .

But for extra stability where necessary those rubber bits can be called in with the H38 .
So noddies can feel confident and comfortable within 2 secs at speed in it .
