Havengore passage

Aiming to do this- outwards thru the bridge - at the next set of springs.

Any hints/advice for a first-timer?

I looked up your profile and it would appear that you have a Beneteau 361, if I interpreted that correctly. Your draft could be interesting. I use to be able to get over the Broomway with a 4.5' draft but not with a 5.5' draft and my draft is now 5.9' and I wouldn't even think about it.

Probably as you are approaching it from the easier side [the Narrowcuts] the best advice is the ensure the bridge is operating on the day that you want to go through.

Have gore

That's what I thought so will have to continue going the long way round ! Thanks

Touch and go literally. Need a good set of springs from my experience and you may still bump on the gravel of the Broomway. Of course with a low in the North Sea and a NE wind there might be enough water not to bump.
