Havengore Bridge out of action for another 6 weeks!!!!

Just to say today we were told that QuinetiQ will be closing the bridge for emergency repairs following sustained failures over the past months.
We are trying locally to get somewhere via the local MP's to get access under the bridge by taking the booms that hang down off for that period.
A touch of watch this space

I wonder what the reaction in Holland would be if they said a bridge was closed to navigation because it was unreliable and would take weeks to fix?
