Have you been out yet in 2022

Looks like you had a lovely day too. Mind you you could get inside in a Proper boat...... We were in a rubber ring by comparison....... No Chinaspatcher in that :ROFLMAO:

Did I forget to mention that it was thick fog with the odd iceberg, wind at least F10 and 10ft waves ?
Ps. the wife refused to come down by boat and drove down by car instead.

Is the Ferry Cafe still at the Deben entrance. Used to go there for excellent fish & chips when we woz young :)

It is indeed and there is a second cafe called Winkel's and a Restaurant that is where the chandlery used to be. So 3 places in total then the Pub as well a short walk back

I went out Friday and today. Once with a mate and today with my 10 year old son. Both fishing trips with 5am starts.
Was great to be out, and plenty of fish caught too. D9A1B4D6-0D95-4EA1-AFEA-E414E060435E.jpeg

Wednesday sailed from Swanwick to Lymington then on Thursday to Weymouth.
Had to carefully plot visibility but otherwise beautiful weather, calm sea and no wind.
I wish it was like this all the time!

Had a great day out on Thursday, Southampton to the Needles and into Yarmouth for lunch on the way back

Went out yesterday anchored at alum bay , Cornish pasty for lunch.
heading back to Lymington and was trying to beat the ferry into the channel. It looked like it was going to be close , the child in me decided to do some donuts instead.

Are you allowed a bbq on the boat in the UK? used to go on holiday a few times a year and lots of boat excursions... especially in Turkey... and they love a good boat bbq out at sea
If you get yourself a Cobb bbq you can, no charcoal ash flying about in a breeze and you can pick the thing up and move it about without burning your pinkies!!
