I have spend 4 years and until this year twice a year on our boat being renovated in boat yard in Greece. Not a marina a boat yard, grit, dust, basic facilities. This year was 2 months in may and June. The boat went in the water last September for 2 weeks, but Theresa was boatyard.

Only 4 years !! After 34 years I get to go on a cruise - a bit like 'coals to Newcastle' but it will be to the Caribbean and no cooking for the duration. The one year we didn't have a boat and thought I would get a 'holiday', I was talked into being a pillion passenger on a motor bike around Holland!
PS - I booked the P&O cruise myself for our 40th wedding anniversary.

I've had spinnakers and other bits for Birthday & Christmas pressies for so long now I can't remember the last pressie that actually had absolutely nothing to do with boats. Even last year's Christmas camera with this year's birthday telephoto lens was so that we could take better photo's on our current cruise to Brazil and beyond!

I even got a new laptop one year so my existing one could become the nav station!

But I'm not complaining, I even enjoy doing stuff like polishing and antifouling as long as it's somewhere warm.
