I saw the wrench bit and thought it was a bit carp. Surprised no proper filter masks when he was cleaning. I would imagine the chemicals involved are pretty strong. He must have had a headache after that!!

The BMW/ mercruiser vm swap must have been a real project. I've done a broom 345 from merc to yanmar 6lp, it was a very straightforward swap requiring very little effort , just altering the from mount location , most other items were virtually the same.

Which size hp D6 engines did you go for?

Hi VP, we opted for 310hp D6's. We wanted 300+ hp but even more importantly the torque with the larger capacity engine. We used to struggle to get much more than 15 knots, but with the new engines we could do 25 knots with a full load of fuel and water, cruising gear (including Avon 310 and 6hp Suzuki on the davits) and 8 people on board.
