Historic Runnymede last night witnessed a second great occasion when Col of the Solent and Boatone of Chertsey on Thames met at Ye Olde Runnymede Hostelry by Bell Weir Lock for the inaugural meeting of the Honourable Association of Hatch Lifters and to arrange transfer of Hatch Lifter of Hamble in exchange for monetary instruments. Our Tipple was Coke and Budweiser and the worthy Col's handmaiden had an orange juice. Col turned up bearing three books full of photos of his worthy maritime steed 'Blue Angel' and Boatone brought his cheque book. All that remains is for Boatone to attach said hatch lifter to his fair Princess.
