I need to cut an access hole inside my gas locker to get at a frame A fame mounting bolt. I was thinking of fitting one of the small round inspection hatches which are o ring sealed. Is there any reason I shouldn't do this, would it be deemed to affect the gas interity? I don't know how airtight these things are.

Your gas locker shouldn't be air tight , it should drain overboard. If your referring to the access hatch , then if higher than the drain then a decent o ring seal should be fine.

Thanks, hole drilled and hatch ordered. I ended up having to work blind through the hole to glue a reinforcing pad under the deck. I also took the precaution of attaching a bit of string to it to it in case it fell off in the process, it did!
