When the whole kit is less than the price of an Eber control knob, what's to lose?

I did that last year in a boat I have since sold.
Used all the existing eber ducts, exhaust, fuel line etc. All just swapped over.
Fitted on to my Eber bracket, no problem just that the whole unit was a bit larger than my D2, I suspect it was probably the size of a D4.
Started first time and worked for the rest of the season.
When you look at the supplied fittings I wouldn't have used them and you can see the difference on the wiring but other than that perfectly fine.
Next job is to fit the old Eber into my new boat.

I fitted a chinese 2kw last year to replace an old eberspacher been great so far used the original ducting which is 50mm as opposed to 60mm for the chinese one.
There are two sizes so if buying a 2kw make sure its the smaller one which is a copy of the D2. The Hcalory make of heater which is a top end is the one I bought from aliexpress and has been faultless.

Be easier and quicker to ask who has not got one of these. I have got the Russian version.
One or two minor tweaks and it was in and up and running.
You might need to be wary of the silencer on the chinese copy.
Silencer supplied with the Russian heater was almost worth the money on its own. Reduced the banshee roar of my old Eber (when and if it worked) to a barely audiable whisper .
Difficult to know if it is running. The Eber could annoy an entire marina.
