Has anyone here ever launched a yacht or a keelboat on a falling tide?

Me and my wife spent a happy afternoon observing an Etap 22i stuck on the slipway at Burham on Crouch marina after it was misguidedly launched on a falling tide. I don't think many of our fellow gawpers realised it was ours. Fortunately the boat had legs and I was just able to get the second one on before she tipped. Sweaty palms moment which we weren't eager to repeat.

As DB above ... its all down to using a rope.
? and if a front wheel drive car, attach the rope to the Front tow eye to give a bit more traction, and you can easily see where your going.
As for launching on a falling tide, there's so much we don't know!
Springs or neaps, range of tide, waterline height of boat on trailer, length and slope of slip, water height on slip at LW.

Find someone with a land rover with a winch. Nice easy and under control with no chance of drowing the car. As for other slipways I looked at the Levington one for my flying Fifteen but it's far too steep.
