If you mean just west, inside Nare head, then the first 1/2 mile along the shoreline is rocks and the next 1.5 mile is sand. There are yellow bouys marking waterski area (ie dont waterski closer to the beach than those), but you can anchor inside. The beach is quite shallow, so if you take the tender onto the beach just check the depth, and check the wind as it could be along row back to the boat, tide depending. Another good spot is just round the headland from St Anthonys lighthouse, going east, a couple of miles maybe. There will usually be some other boats in the eastern end of this cove/beach, but note that there are rocks close in between the high/low tide water on the beach, so dont anchor too close in on a falling tide. Also, with both of these, you do need to consider wind/tide if you take the tender onto the beach, bcz ,direction dependent, you might find quite swell has built up and its a tricky launch of the beach back to the mothership....... and survived ?. No, I think he means the one just east and north.
