I've got the 43's on outdrives and raymarine autopilot but my drive unit do not look like that so you must have an updated kit.

I went through three of those universal drives in a matter of months. I have kad 300,s with 290 outdrives but initially no hydraulic steering on a 34 Windy. We then converted to hydraulic steering and fitted hydraulic autopilot and that's works perfectly. If you definitely have hydraulic steering doing all the work I would still be of a mind to fit hydraulic autopilot.

Cheers

I'm learning as I go here but what I understand is that there are 2 types of hydraulic steering. Mine where the steering wheel drives a cable which runs to a spool valve which hydraulically actuated the stern drive steering and yours where the steering wheel has the hydraulics directly connected ( ideal for dual controls I imagine)
Feel free everyone if I've got this wrong.
I'm shocked that you got through 3 Raymarine universal drives. Surely there is an installation problem. Raymarine sell hundreds of these so I'm interested in others experiences before I buy
Cheers again
