Harwich to Ramsgate

Nothing wrong with the Black Deep route. No doubt you've seen the download for Foulger's Gat.

I must do the table for the outside route northwards sometime but right now I think I fancy a day's sailing.......

Hope you enjoy the trip. Feedback on the timings you actually experience is always useful.

What i dont understand is why hang about for say 2 hrs for "the optimal" depart time when one could just go sailing, it is after all just a day sail

I think that's a good point, after all the planning tells you it will 'get better' if the passage seems a little slow - which will be in the Black Deep were it is noticeable. But the planning starts from Cliff Foot so the yacht has got to get there and I am not sure where they are starting from so it can give them more bunk time.
