We made a few discoveries at Easter, the best was this restaurant, there cannot be many incentives to tie up on the 'alfpenny pier but this brought us back to Harwich. (If the chef asks would you like that "Thai" say yes but order a large jug of water!)

Many thanks to the Pier Master and other Harbour officials for pointing us in right direction.

Nothing helps except practice. My Pakistani neighbour used to eat my home-grown chillis like sweets though they'd blow my head off.

That is because recurring damage has destroyed all the relevant nerve endings in his mouth. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I once heard that the Chilli experience is addictive. This is apparently because the chemical we produce to fight the burning sensation gives us a bit of a lift. A bit like adrenalin I guess. That's why we go back and pick at the hot stuff. Well that's what this guy on Radio 4 I think it was, said anyway!
