Very big surges all week at Harwich and its estuaries.
Between 10" -16" at high water. On Tuesday I managed to re-float my boat an hour early having been on the beach for 6 weeks doing maintenance.

I can confirm that surge tide levels at Harwich and all along the estuaries can vary quite rapidly - up and down - can easily have a surge of +1m or more (can get to the chip shop by boat) or -0.5m - seems to be +0.5m quite often - +0.3m at Harwich yesterday evening - was +0.5m earlier at noon yesterday - was minus 0.09m at 0630 that morning - Monday evening tide was quite a bit higher on the camera than prediction - makes mockery of another thread yesterday talking about calculating tides at Chichester bar to 50mm. For me it's whether I can get into the yard without wellies or a wet suit.
