I am in the market for a barometer/thermometer and possibly a tide clock. What does the jury think of HS products, anyone else to look at?

Have had a look at Weams and Plath and not quite found the aesthetics I like.

Thanks!

I was considering a similar purchase. I noted some of the on lline chandleries were offering an electronic barograph which displayed pressure gradient over the last three hours - thought that was a useful improvement (assuming we are buying to use rather than decorate the cabin!). just had an unsuccessful look for the item - will post later if I come across it.

Vion ?

or any number of electronic weather stations

this is the general idea - as Vic says many options available to suit every pocket! From a weather forecasting viewpoint, the ability to see the pressure trend in recent hours is extremely useful

Annoyingly that seems to do everything needed and probably better than the nice shiny round ones I was looking at!

The pressure trend as you say is very useful (Although I did have visions of recording pressure in the log every 30 mins!)

I'll have a look tonight and see what's available and post a link to anything interesting.

Just to point out that the Garmin GWS-10 wind transducer also incorporates a barometric sensor, so you can get pressure trends displayed on the Garmin display - might be more useful than something that needs regular polishing...
