Harken Pawl Gear Needed

I'm sourcing a Harken 44.2st pair of winch Pawl Gear, Part No. 27814.
The Winch is about 2004
Tried all the obvious places but nobody has it.
Any Ideas please?

Harken do not keep stock of old spares (I know - I have 13 of the blighters!)

Try ebay - odd bits of Harken winch do pop up there.

Harken bought Barbarossa and rebranded the winches, so for older models there is no difference and I believe the new ones are still made in Italy. Part numbers the same I think.

Nevermind, didn't clock you want the gear, not the pawls.

What is wrong with the gear? Pawls wear and can be easily replaced along with the springs, but the gears themselves do not often fail.

The Bronze gears have worn down, about 0.5mm on both cogs.
Makes an awful noise but the winches work perfectly.

Not a lot you can do, but they are unlikely to fail completely if you keep them greased. Do it regularly and find a thick and sticky grease. Check out open gear lubricants, as there are some made to stick in place better than ordinary greases.

Yes if we are looking at the gears.

The pawls should be oiled, not greased! Harken supply, at yacht spares prices, both the oil for the pawls and the grease for the gears.

And obviously replace the pawls and their springs often. This is a dead easy job on a workbench and less so on a cockpit coaming with the rain coming in sideways!
