Hard Racing Antifoul Question

I have been using Seajet 035 hard racing antifoul in Chi Harbour and around the south coast and France. Two coats in 2022 and its only now needing top up and the bottom has been very clean - better than anything else I've used.
Unfortunately they have discontinued the black that I need so I have to either keep using 035 but go navy blue or red or change to 037 which is a "coastal hard" but no idea how it differs from the Hard Racing (except its £40 cheaper which suggests something )

Or I can try the Hempel Hard Racing or Jotun Hard Racing - both still do black

Has anyone used these or have any comparisons for one brand to the other please? The manufacturers all say they are great and compatible with what I have etc - none will tell me the exact product to see if its the same as or close to the 035 that I know works...

It may sound daft .... but why not buy a small tin of each and paint a particular area (making a note in your Log or on-board note book where each was used).

Believe it or not big ships have done this .... Shel did this with International on one of its 300,000 tonners ... she got nicknamed "Joseph" because in ballast - and especially when she rolled - she would show 'her coat of many colours' ...........

This is what Hempel Hard racing black looks like after 12 months on the south coast… on a swift trawler motorboat so may not be comparable for your needs..but I’m very happy with it… photo straight after lift out and before power wash..

Any Essex / Suffolk / Medway end of season photos as good as these? The chaps that do the 3x per season + regattas jetwashing won't be happy. Also any views on Silic One on East Coast

Nothing works on the East Coast in my experience so best to go for something like CopperCoat that can handle years of jet washing.

By the way I mentioned this on another thread but I would run a mile from SilicOne if it’s a sailing yacht. Unless you’re a planing motorboat doing a lot of high speed miles it doesn’t work. And it’s very difficult to remove properly so you can apply something else.

I have Coppercoat, already on boat I bought. Seems to work as well as anything. In my experience even TBT needed a mid season scrub or two. My old boat has Micron, but open to other suggestions, if paints like VC or Hempel suggested above are thought better now. Mine don't look as good as the photos above (#4 and #5) even after the jetwash. I do provide a habitat for all the little shrimps though and they go back into the water when we scrub. Don't seem to get barnacles on Coppercoat.
